  17. <p>     M.C. Hammer and Vanilla Ice beware! The hip-hop doesn't stop
  18. when it comes to the lovely ladies of rap. Eleven of the top
  19. female rappers converged last week in Los Angeles for a
  20. five-hour Valentine's Day concert. In a medium dominated by men
  21. and misogynistic lyrics, the women like to use their music to
  22. speak to inner-city youth on topics such as drugs and teenage
  23. pregnancy. "Be your own woman," says Nikki-D (second from
  24. right) describing her message. "We're not going to stand for
  25. anything bad from men." The mega-collaboration worked so well
  26. that the lady rappers will take their act on the road this
  27. spring.
